Days 5 to 10

Day 5
(Thusday May 24th)

We drove on to Port Augusta. It's a nice town, but we decided to come back to it again later. From there we headed into the Flinders Ranges. WOWIE!!! They were stunningly beautiful and huge. There were alot of old ruins in the area. We saw the Kanyaka Homsestead Ruins. It was an old Sheep run. They were incredable. Pics available. The mountain never really appeared to get closer... LOL. We were sort of in the middle of anything and it appeared to be flat in the area we were in. Odd really. We stopped early at a Caravan Park.
Day 6(Friday May 25th)
Went on to explore he Flinders! While some of the views were amazing most of the parks can only be accessed by 4WD, our little van couldn't handle those roads, so we headed back to Port Augusta to explore the town.

Day 7
(Satuday May 26th)

We drove along the Eyre Penninsula today. We saw some great beach and coastal views and went to Point Labbat to see the Sea Lions. We expected to see one, but there were heaps lounging around on the beach under the lookout. It was coldso they were all huddled togeather.
Then we drov on to Ceduna. The start of the Nullabor, a log stretch of road with nothing around it. No trees. No turn offs. No towns... Nothing.

Day 8
(Sunday May 27th)

Again, more Nullabor. Though we did find a turnoff, to the head of the Great Australian Bight. There was Wale watching there, but we did't go. We made it to Western Australia! In Boarder Village (A roadhouse) we saw the Big Kangaroo! A little while later we came across Eucla. Another roadhouse, but there were things to do there. We saw some Old Telegraph station ruins, covered in sand! (Will get pics) More driving after that!

Day 9
(Monday May 28th)

We got up EARLY... 5am... Why? I'm still not sure. We finally made it to a town, called Norseman. It's named after a horse, called Norseman (Haha) who, after being tied to a tree, pulled out the tree and under it was a lump of gold. Cool huh? Anyway, we'd been looking so forward to reaching Norseman, only to find an old town with really nothing there. After roaming around there a while to find internet (Didn't happen) We went on to Esperance. This town had beautiful beaches and views, but it had been raining all day so we didn't go onto the beach.

Day 10
(Tuesday May 29th)

It's finally sunny! YAY!!! WE made it to Albany. Guess what, i's a real town! Ok, Esperance asn't too bad, but Albany is larger. There's plenty to see here. We took a Scenic drive then decided on a Caravan Park, where we swam in the pool and played in the Spa!

Love,
Anja
